The Human Resources and Administration Department (HR & Admin) of Ali Bin Ali Holding celebrated a resounding success in its recent employee engagement initiative – a month-long plastic bottle recycling drive!
Throughout May 2024, all HR & Admin staff enthusiastically participated, collecting a remarkable 1,500+ empty bottles. All collected bottles found a new life by being deposited in the recycling machine at the local Lulu Hypermarket.
Speaking at the conclusion of the project, the Accounts Supervisor and lead on this sustainability initiative, Mr. Mohammad Mustakim Nur Rahman, said, “This initiative perfectly embodies the Holding’s sustainability values, and we hope it inspires others to embrace an eco-friendlier lifestyle, both at work and at home.”
Recycling plastic bottles is a powerful tool for a healthier planet, and it’s surprisingly simple! Not only does it divert plastic from overflowing landfills and the pollution they create, but it also conserves precious resources.
Repurposed plastic bottles get a second life as new products, often with a much lower environmental impact than those made from virgin materials. This could be anything from eco-friendly clothing to even new bottles themselves!
Beyond the impressive numbers, the HR & Admin team hopes their initiative inspires others. They aim to extend this program throughout ABA Holding, encouraging all employees to embrace environmental consciousness.
