ABA Holding participates in a clean-up of Al Zubara Beach

On April 26 2025, Ali Bin Ali employees gathered at Al Zubara Beach in the northern coastline of Qatar for a productive beach clean-up event hosted by Seashore Recycling and Sustainability Company in partnership with Ali Bin Ali Holding. The cleanup also received participation from representatives of Qatar Museums and UNESCO. The event, which occurred on a Saturday morning, witnessed participants work tirelessly to help protect the natural beauty of one of Qatar’s most serene coastal locations.

Al Zubara Beach, as a natural resource, faces the threat of environmental degradation due to pollution that threatens local wildlife and ecosystems. The clean-up event aimed not only to remove debris but also to raise awareness about the importance of preserving and protecting the environment.

With the slogan, “Our Environment, Our Responsibility,” the event focused on the importance of recycling, waste management, and sustainability in maintaining a cleaner, healthier planet. Volunteers collected bags of waste, focusing on both visible debris and smaller, hard-to-reach items that often end up harming marine life. A total of 750kgs of waste including: plastics, carton, mixed scrap, general waste, and wood, were collected. By recycling this amount of waste, humanity saved 124 hours of electricity, 10 gallons of oil, and gallons of water.

Engaging at the clean-up, Ali Bin Ali’s Group Corporate Communications Manager, Mr. Imad Hashim, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, noting that, “Committing to environmental sustainability is at the core of Ali Bin Ali Holding’s mandate in CSR engagements. Such opportunities fusion a drive for partnership and lasting change. This is a wonderful demonstration of community spirit and environmental stewardship.”

Representing the Seashore Recycling, the CEO Mr. Salem Saeed Al Mohannadi, stated that, “We are extremely grateful for the enthusiasm and dedication of everyone who participated today. Together, we can all make a significant impact and inspire others to take action in their own communities.”

This initiative is a reminder that sustainable habits in recycling and waste management are not one-day actions, but lifelong commitments. Through continued education and community engagement, Ali Bin Ali Holding can move towards a future where clean environments are the norm.

Ali Bin Ali Holding thanks everyone for participating and looks forward to future collaborative efforts for a cleaner, greener Qatar.
