ABA Holding Wins Basketball Corporate League Finals

The ABA Corporate Basketball Team secured a remarkable victory in the Basketball Corporate League final, held on April 18, 2026, delivering an outstanding performance to claim the championship.

In a highly competitive match against Alfardan Corporation, the ABA team clinched the win by just one point, in what proved to be one of the most intense games of the tournament. ABA team’s defensive strength stood out throughout the competition, earning recognition for having the best defense in the season.

The defining moment came in the final seconds, when Mr. Merelle Cayaban of ABA Beverages scored the decisive basket with just three seconds remaining, sealing the victory for ABA.

Despite facing challenges, including injuries to key players, the team demonstrated exceptional commitment, resilience, and unity. Careful game planning and preparation played a key role in delivering a disciplined and effective performance on the court.

The team’s success was further cemented by individual recognitions, with Mr. Faysal Jaroudi of ABA Luxury crowned Tournament MVP and Mr. Fadel Tony Akl of ABA Printing Press receiving the Best Coach Award.

Commenting on the victory, Coach Fadel noted that the win reflected the team’s discipline, preparation, and determination:
“Despite the challenges we faced, every player stepped up and delivered. I am proud of the team’s performance and the way they faired under pressure” he stated.

ABA Marathon Group shines during Sports For All Ramadan Challenge 2025

In a true celebration of resilience, dedication, and team spirit, the ABA Marathon Group proudly participated in the Sports For All Ramadan Challenge 2025 and the Ladies Ramadan Series 2025, organized by Qatar Sports For All, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and Z-Adventures. At the events ABA runners demonstrated extraordinary endurance and passion, competing in night races held at the Education City MTB Course.

The Sports For All Ramadan Challenge consisted of a professionally measured, four-race series held every Thursday from February 27 to March 20, 2025, with participation capped at 300 runners. Athletes earned points based on their finish positions, contributing to the overall series rankings.

ABA athletes earned multiple podium finishes throughout the series. Agnieszka Siodmak from the ABA Legal Department delivered a stellar performance, securing first place overall in the Female Masters category. Notably, she also won the Ladies Ramadan Series 2025, finishing on the podium in all eight races throughout the period.

Other remarkable performances came from Olena Tynna of ABA Luxury, who competed in the 10K Female Open category. Olena earned podium finishes in several races, including third place in the third race and second in the final race. Daisy Fuentes from Galeries Lafayette also showed her strength in the 5K Female Masters category, securing third place in both the first and fourth races. On the male side, Calvin Motatiro and Abdul Karim Mukwaya, both from The Market Hall, were dominant forces in the 5K Male Open category. Calvin claimed second place in the first race and first in the second, while Abdul Karim secured first place in the final race, with Calvin finishing second.

Reflecting on the wins, the Group General Manager of Human Resources & Administration, Mr. Aldrine Fernandez, shared the company’s profound pride in its marathon runners. “These achievements reflect the values we uphold as an organization and our commitment towards nurturing talents and promoting sports,” he noted.

Turkish superstar Burak Özçivit becomes the face of Ali Bin Ali Luxury and Ali Bin Ai Fashion

Elevating the glamour level of the brands, Ali Bin Ali (ABA) Luxury and Fashion have introduced famous Turkish model and actor Burak Özçivit as their brand ambassador. The big announcement was made by the Vice-Chairman & EVP of Ali Bin Ali Holding Mr. Nabeel Ali Bin Ali on February 21 at the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition (DJWE) 2023. Also present at the event was CEO of Swiss luxury watch brand Purnell, Mr. Maurizio Mazzocchi.

The flamboyant actor has signed the agreement with ABA Luxury and Fashion making him the face of the brands for the entire Gulf region, for the next four years. During this period, Purnell will be the official watch brand worn by Burak. The Swiss watchmaking maison is one of the most popular brands under ABA Luxury’s portfolio.

Burak Özçivit, who has a large fanbase across the region and even globally, is also a supermodel and the face of many European brands. He was chosen the ‘Top Model of Turkey’ and later picked as the second ‘Best Model of The World’.
