Pink for a Purpose: Monoprix Qatar and Qatar Cancer Society Unite to Combat Breast Cancer

Monoprix Qatar, a subsidiary of Ali Bin Ali Holding, partnered with the Qatar Cancer Society to raise awareness about breast cancer during the month of October.

Through a multifaceted approach, Monoprix campaign included the following initiatives:

  • Special white breast cancer awareness bags: Each bag featured a unique QR code that linked to a comprehensive PDF on breast cancer. By simply scanning the code, customers were able to access vital information about the disease and its prevention.
  • Pink bag campaign: Continuing its tradition, Monoprix Qatar also offered stylish pink bags. For every pink bag purchased, 10 QAR was donated to the Qatar Cancer Society, with Monoprix matching the contribution.
  • Special breakfast: A special breakfast at the Monoprix Place Vendome store was held for 20 survivors to honor their journey.
  • An awareness session by a representative from Qatar Cancer Society was also conducted for Monoprix staff, educating them about breast cancer. Female staff members were also given consultation vouchers from Qatar Cancer to encourage them to prioritize their health and undergo regular screenings.
  • In-store promotions also played a pivotal role in raising awareness about breast cancer during the campaign. By strategically placing printed donation QR code table tents provided by the Qatar Cancer Society, customers were able to contribute effortlessly.
  • In addition, eye-catching branding banners were displayed throughout the stores, highlighting the campaign and inspiring action.

“At Monoprix Qatar, we believe in the power of collective action. By joining hands with the Qatar Cancer Society, we were able to amplify our efforts and create a meaningful impact. We are committed to supporting initiatives that promote health and well-being, and we hope to continue our journey of hope in the years to come,” said Mr. Sebastian Farhat, COO, Consumer & Hi-Tech Retail, Ali Bin Ali Holding.
