Celebrating the spirit of luxury and the beauty of stunning craftsmanship, Ali Bin Ali (ABA) Group’s Luxury division once again became a part of the success story of the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition (DJWE).

The 15th edition of the exclusive show, held from February 20 to 26 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, brought together the country’s top luxury retailers and renowned global brands under one roof.

This is the 15th year that Ali Bin Ali Luxury has participated in the prestigious event. Besides the old favorites, new brands such as Damiani, Riviere, Lorraine Schwartz, Vishrut Gems and Jaeger-LeCoultre were showcased at the expo.

At this year’s DJWE, for the first time ever, Ali Bin Ali Luxury and Ali Bin Ali Fashion collaborated to put up a show. Twelve models walked the ramp dressed in Ermanno Scervino and ornamented with jewelry by ABA Luxury to give a full ‘Ali Bin Ali look’.

Making the event even more special, the House of Garrard had its global launch of a new collection in ABA Luxury’s pavilion at the exhibition venue.

Exhibition-goers from around Qatar as well as international visitors who visited ABA Luxury’s pavilion had the opportunity to enjoy fine timepieces, exquisite jewelry, classical writing instruments and sophisticated accessories.

ABA attracted exceptional attention at the DJWE and international media, including Harper’s Bazaar India and Vanity Fair UK, showed interest in our brands.

The show was a grand success with jewelry lovers gathering to experience the special occasion and witness an outstanding array of high-end merchandise.

Mr. Awn Zureikat, Chief Operating Officer – Ali Bin Ali Luxury, said: “We are proud to be part of this year’s edition of the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition. HR celebrates the graduation of ABA Management Development Program 2017 batch

In a proud moment for Ali Bin Ali (ABA) Holding, 45 staff members from different divisions of the Group completed the ABA Management Development Program and graduated with flying colors.

It was part of the company’s efforts to support its employees by providing an opportunity to attend professional training and achieve certification with the Institute of Professional Certified Managers.

The initiative was divided in 2 streams – Foundations of Management (for new / junior managers or potential employees) and Certified Manager (for experienced in the field managers). For the first time there was 88% completion rate for a management initiative, which sets the bar high for the future programs.

To commemorate this feat, the ABA HR department organized a small gathering on Thursday, February 22 at the Ali Bin Ali head office and the batch of 2017 was awarded their certificates and appreciated for achieving professional recognition

Apart from the 45 graduates, the guests at the event included senior representative from the management. They expressed their satisfaction with the efforts and the success of the participants in the program.

Opening the event, Group General Manager Human Resources Mr. Aldrine Austine Fernandez congratulated the graduates and said: “It is great achievement for all of us. I am so happy to see so many familiar faces from our previous development programs. This demonstrates our company’s and employees’ commitment for continuous development.”

This was followed by a ceremony where certificates were handed over to each of the graduates by the GMs and COOs of different divisions.

Group Leadership Development Manager Mr. Nikolay Stoichkov said, “It is a proud moment not just for the graduates but all of us. It is really encouraging to see such promising and committed students who, despite their hectic work schedule, give their best and really work hard to earn these accolades.”

Marking it a perfect ending, the evening concluded with the guests socializing and enjoying some light snacks. Now it is the turn of the managers to demonstrate their capabilities, through knowledge transfer, high dedication and more success in future.

FORWARD team runs in the exclusive relay race on 11th ABA Olympic Day

It was a great show of team spirit when the ABA FORWARD Team participated in the special relay race organized for them at the 11th ABA Olympic Day, one of the biggest annual attractions for ABA Group staff members.

The 11th Olympic Day hosted by Ali Bin Ali Group to mark Qatar’s National Sport Day took place at Doha’s Al Arabi Sports Club on February 13, amid much fanfare and with the participation of almost 4,000 employees and their families.

The relay race organized for the FORWARD team was exclusively meant for those involved in the project. Team members from HR, Admin, IT, PMO, QQP, Finance and Shared Services gathered for an exciting show on the track. The 400-meter race required each member of the team to run 100 meters and pass on the baton to the next member.

While all the four teams gave their best shot, Team QQP, including Junaiz Odakkal, Frank George, Sirikanda Raja Periyasamy and Manura Prasanga, emerged the winners. Each member of the victorious team won attractive gift vouchers from Monoprix.
