ABATS team along with Qatar Digital Government launch Maliya, ERP system

Marking a major step towards Qatar digital Government, the State of Qatar on Monday (March 6) launched Maliya, a centralised, dynamic financial system connecting all entities in the State of Qatar. 

The initiative, which marks a leap in the governmental financial control and reporting, is being implemented by the Ali Bin Ali Technology Solutions (ABATS) and Intrasoft teams in co-operation with the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and the Ministry of Transport & Communications (MOTC).

The historic launch was made at QITCOM 2017, Qatar’s biggest digital event, organized at the Qatar National Convention Centre under the theme “Qatar Towards a Smart Future”.

His Excellency the Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani launched Maliya – ERP system – which raises the standards of Public Spending Control and Reporting across the State of Qatar.

Thanking everyone, Mr. Mohamad A Ebrik, Chief Operating Officer – ICT of Ali Bin Ali Group said, “We are proud and honoured to be part of such an important project which comes under the umbrella of Qatar Digital Government 2020 strategy. I can assure you that the ABATS team is fully committed to work together with the Qatari Government towards a digitized future.”

Ms. Heba Al Majali, CEO of Intrasoft remarked, “The launch of the Maliya is both an integral step for the advancement of Qatari Government’s financial management, as well as an important landmark in the strategic co-operation between Intrasoft Middle East and the ABA Group.”

In light of the advancement that we are seeing in these days, the authorities in Qatar have drawn up plans that will facilitate the technological transformation towards Qatar Digital Government, and enhance the government’s performance as well as the level of services provided to businesses and individuals in the State.

Ali Bin Ali Group joins US National Day celebrations

Strengthening its long-standing relationship with the US Embassy in Qatar, Ali Bin Ali Group took part in the National Day celebrations of the United States of America in Qatar recently. The event took place on February 27, 2017 at the St Regis Doha.

The grand event was hosted by US Ambassador Dana Shell Smith and attended by government representatives, VIP guests and officials from the American Embassy.

Ali Bin Ali Group, one of the official sponsors of the event, was glad to participate in the celebrations and took pride in associating itself with such a grand and important occasion.

Ali Bin Ali Luxury shines at the 14th Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition

Ali Bin Ali Group’s Luxury division became a part of the success story of the 14th edition of Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition (DJWE), which concluded recently. DJWE 2017 was a journey to the heart of a glamorous tale in which exclusivity, beauty, art, and legacy combined with the unforgettable story behind each jewel.

The exclusive show, held from February 20 to 25 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, brought together the country’s top luxury retailers and renowned global brands under one roof.

Covering an area of 3,660 square meters of exhibition space, Ali Bin Ali Luxury’s pavilion was the star of the show. Apart from hosting 45 international luxury brands, ABA Luxury also unveiled an exquisite range of items that personified uniqueness and extraordinary craftsmanship.

Among the brands that made their debut at DJWE 2017 were Baume Et Merier, Stenzhorn Juwelen and Marco Valente Design in addition to regular favourites hosted by Ali Bin Ali Luxury, including  Audemars Piguet, Cartier, David Morris, Graff, HYT, Messika, Mikimoto, Panerai, Repossi, Richard Mille, Roger Dubuis, Ulysse Nardine, Van Cleef & Arpels, Vertu and others.

The show was a grand success with exhibition goers and jewellery lovers from Qatar and abroad gathering to experience the opportunity and witness an outstanding array of high-end merchandise.
