Ali Bin Ali Group joins Day of German Unity celebrations

The Ali Bin Ali Group was invited to be a part of celebrations marking the Day of German Unity, held at The St Regis Hotel in Doha on Tuesday, December 6. Germany is commemorating 26 years of reunification this year.

Apart from the ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, the event was attended by officials from the German Embassy, government representatives and VIP guests.

The ceremonious reception dinner was a gala affair and complemented with entertainment, get-togethers and activities.

The Ali Bin Ali Group, who has always supported and worked in cooperation with the international community in Qatar, was glad and honoured to be a part of the gathering for the official celebration of German National Day.

FMCG Academy holds English Language programme’s Graduation Day 2016

The Ali Bin Ali Groups’s FMCG Academy held its last English Language Unit graduation for this year, covering Intermediate level batch 2 and 3 of 2016, on December 14.  

The event took place in the Training Room of Prime Consumer Products & International Agencies offices in Bin Omran, Doha.

It was attended by 14 participants from Intermediate batch 2 and 3 and members of the Ali Bin Ali FMCG management, including Nabil Mourad, Mohammed Imran, Sampath Balaji, Rajeev E.T., Arun Nadarajah, Holly Robertson, Abey Samuel and Abdulla Ashik, as well as the FMCG Academy team, Rifki ZamZam, and FMCG’s very own teacher, Dr Souhir Benseghir.

The English Language programme is part of the Continued Professional Development initiative of the FMCG Academy, and its sole purpose is to facilitate opportunities for FMCG employees. Enhancements through programmes such as this help equip the staff to take on the challenges of the future, giving Ali Bin Ali a competitive advantage.

This is the third graduation event conducted by the FMCG Academy’s English unit. As of now, there have been six batches in Basic and three at the Intermediate level, totaling 52 participants, of whom 90% have passed.

The programme has been designed, developed and delivered in-house by Dr Benseghir under the leadership of ZamZam.

Ali Bin Ali & Partners wins Distributor of the Year Award

Ali Bin Ali & Partners bagged the Distributor of the Year Award 2016 for GCC from Clorox USA at an event held on December 5, 2016. With this recognition, the persistence of the Clorox team at Ali Bin Ali & Partners in being the best has finally paid off. Essam Ezzat, the market manager and his team earned the accolade while competing against other distributors in the GCC region.

The ceremony was held in the Ali Bin Ali & Partners conference room. On behalf of Clorox VP Heath Rigsby, who was not present on the occasion, the award was presented by Michael Abu Rjeily – sales & export manager of Clorox GCC, to Ezzat, Mohammed Menshawy, Sachin Mathew Jacob, and the entire sales team, appreciating their hard work and dedication in making Clorox a brand to be reckoned with.

The Clorox sales team has placed Ali Bin Ali & Partners among the top-ranked entities, a formidable player, challenging bigger markets such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Oman and earning this recognition from the Principal.

The sales team’s tireless efforts throughout 2016 in executing sales and implementation across all channels is quite an achievement under the prevailing economic conditions. We wish the Clorox sales team of ABA & P best of luck and continued success for many years to come.

P.P. Viswanathan awarded the PepsiCo Chairman’s Circle of Champions Award for the year 2016

 

In a very proud moment for the Ali Bin Ali Group, P.P. Viswanathan, Quality Control manager at the ABA Beverages Division, has been honoured with the prestigious PepsiCo Chairman’s Circle of Champions Award for 2016.

The awards ceremony was held at the Westchester Marriott, New York, on September 29. It was arranged by the PepsiCo headquarters and Viswanathan along with his guest was present at the event.

The PepsiCo Chairman’s Circle of Champions Award selects 200 employees globally, out of 180,000-plus employees, based on consistent performance criteria for the past several years.

The recognition for ABA Beverages Division’s Viswanathan is a clear step from PepsiCo to motivate employees to come up to the global standards of performance.

Earlier, informing Viswanathan about the honour, PepsiCo Chairman and CEO Indra K Nooyi had said in a letter that the award is their way of recognising the performance he delivers each and every day. “You embody the kinds of qualities – excellence, determination and perseverance – that have made, and will always make, our company so successful,” she wrote.
