The Ali Bin Ali Group held its 12th Annual Cricket Tournament, which drew an enthusiastic response from all participating teams and spectators.
The keenly and competitively contested tournament was held from the 2nd to the 4th of April 2015 at the old Ideal Indian School grounds. The Ali Bin Ali Group’s FMCG team, captained by Harsha Perera defeated the combined team of International Agencies (IA) and Prime Consumer Products (PCP) to walk away with the trophy. The Runners Up IA/PCP, reached the finals by defeating PEPSI in a nail biting semi final match which ended in a super over.
The excitement generated by the sport was felt by the fans and spectators who attended this competitive tournament and the teams ensured that an excellent display of skill was on hand, to delight cricket lovers in Qatar. Confirming the interest cricket generates within the Ali Bin Ali Group, organizers mentioned that this year a total of 18 teams participated in matches.
Speaking at the end of the event Mr. Mohammed Imran, GM of Dohatna said, ” We are thrilled with the response we get for these tournaments. As a result, in September 2015 we will be hosting the 2nd ABA Champions Trophy. The teams are keen to participate and the top 2 teams from the Ali Bin Ali Group will be selected for this elite tournament.”
On Wednesday April 1st the Ali Bin Ali Group’s Digitek family gathered for their annual get together.
The gathering took place at Doha’s Intercontinental Hotel and was set outdoors at the MYKONOS Garden.
The proceedings began at 6:00 pm and went on to culminate after dinner. .
The occasion was utilized as an opportunity for the Digitek management to share the dream and vision of the company, in order to strengthen and inspire the efforts being made at Digitek unifying the team as one. The occasion also welcomed the new team members. The proceedings of the evening were followed by a buffet dinner in the pleasant environs of MYKONOS Garden. To liven up the evening there were well organised team games, which had to be brought to a close by a sand storm as a grand finale. Present at the gathering were all Digitek departments, including the Production House, Digital Printing & Event Management teams amounting to 40 in number. The inspiring evening was enjoyed by all.

Organized by the Ministry of Interior of Qatar, the event was held from the 9th – 15th March 2015 at Darb Sa’ii. The 31st GCC Traffic Week was declared open by Major General Saad bin Jassim al-Khulaifi, the Director General of Public Security. This year’s theme was ‘Your Decision Determines Your Fate.’ Among those who attended the event were Brigadier Mohamed Saad al-Kharji, the Director General of Traffic along with officials from GCC countries, directors and officers of different departments of Ministry of Interior.
